Audio- books are still very popular these days, but where can you find an audio-book with which you can take a walk inside and get the impression to be part of the story itself ?
The Nibelungen Museum which opened in 2001 and has been a part of the Kultur und Veranstaltungs GmbH Worms since 2008, offers such a walkable audio-book.
The anonymous poet of the Nibelungenlied has found a “new-old” home in two picturesque towers of the city walls (Stadtmauer) of Worms - witnesses of the Staufer-age - to welcome his guests personally as the host of the museum and with the voice of famous actor Mario Adorf, to tell his story more competently, entertainingly, and also critically than anyone before.
And if you still want to see more, you can go down into the Mythenlabor (laboratory of myths) and dive into the Kingdom of the Nibelungs or even deeper into the almost endless world of myths and legends.
To match the abundance and the amount of topics, the museum offers a whole series of recurring activities. Packages in order to quench your thirst of education can be booked as well as selected special events.
Beyond the topics of the Nibelungs and myths, the team of the Museum have constantly been working on new ideas.
Under the slogan “museum live” these educational offers have been tested and practised at all museums in Worms.
